Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. The service
Silo.Name ("we", "us") provides domain name registration, DNS management and business email mailbox provisioning. Domains are registered through accredited upstream registrars and email services are provisioned through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms.
2. Domain registrations
Domain registrations are subject to the policies of ICANN and the relevant registry, including the registrant rights and responsibilities. You must provide accurate registrant contact information and keep it current. Registrations, renewals and transfers become effective only when confirmed by the registry. Prices shown at checkout are final for that order; renewal prices may differ and are shown on the domain page.
3. Renewals and expiry
You are responsible for renewing your domains before expiry. We send reminder emails ahead of the expiry date, and, when auto-renew is enabled and your wallet balance covers it, renew automatically about 15 days before expiry. Expired domains may enter a redemption period with substantially higher recovery costs, or be released. We are not liable for the loss of a domain that was not renewed.
4. Mailboxes and acceptable use
Mailboxes are billed as a monthly subscription per seat. You agree not to use the service for spam as defined by applicable law (including bulk unsolicited email), phishing, malware distribution or any unlawful purpose, and to comply with the acceptable-use policies of the underlying provider (Google or Microsoft). We may suspend service to protect deliverability or upon provider or legal requirement.
5. Payments, wallet and refunds
Payments are processed by our payment partner; we do not store card details. Wallet balances are prepaid credits usable at checkout and for auto-renewals; they are not a bank deposit and accrue no interest. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. If a paid order cannot be completed with the registry, it is refunded automatically in full.
6. Account, suspension and termination
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials; enable two-factor authentication in your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are involved in fraud or abuse, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time after transferring out or cancelling active services.
7. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, or for failures of upstream registries, registrars or email providers beyond our control.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard. Questions? Contact support@silo.name.
